Rejuvenation Process

Any artificial pitch over its lifetime may be subject to flooding, sludge, moss and algae build up and ponding.  This may make it dangerous to play on which is why a rejuvenation is a good idea to help the pitch drain better and maintain the important shock absorption of the surface.

Algae loves warm and damp conditions and can bloom quickly in the Autumn or spring, producing a muddy look to the ground.  Although short term solutions like rubber squeegees and brushing can help, it will reappear when given the opportunity and the problem will persist.

If moss and leaves are left on a surface it can render the surface unusable unless a rejuvenation process is applied.  A deep clean can remove the heavy moss but the spores can remain and reoccur if it is not maintained properly.  You will recongnise a compacted surface by it’s hard feeling underfoot due to restricted drainage, but the rejuvenation can help agitate and separate the carpet fibres again.

We provide artificial grass maintenance, rejuvenation and installation solutions across the South and South East of England, including Brighton, Greater London, Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey, and Berkshire.

High Pressured Water Rejuvenation Of Sports Flooring

Using high pressure water the rejuvenation process extracts the existing contaminate infill and substitutes it with new infill which is brushed in. This process decompacts the surface by opening up the carpet fibres and separating them.

Rejuvenation is usually carried out on a surface after a period of five to ten years and can significantly restore the drainage of a surface and rid of ponding and algae problems. The process can extend the lifespan of the pitch and save the client's time and money in the future.  It can be carried out all year round in all weather.

The process improves the courts drainage system so much that it works as new, allowing the rainwater to percolate through the grass and infill as it would do normally, whereas over time debris can block the carpet fibres and air holes in the sand particles making a breeding ground for moss and algae.
